A play about a Jew-hating radical has begun its second run in London, and a European movie that sympathetically depicts two suicide bombers is getting rave reviews. Both are outrageous lies, but seek the same effect as Hitler’s propaganda – to desensitize civilized people to the murder of an entire race. Just 60 years after our troops uncovered the horrors of the Final Solution.
The play was dissected two weeks back by Tom Gross in the Brit Spectator (registration required):
Dead Jews aren’t news
Rachel Thaler, aged 16, was blown up at a pizzeria in an Israeli shopping mall. She died after an 11-day struggle for life following a suicide bomb attack on a crowd of teenagers on 16 February 2002.
Even though Thaler was a British citizen, born in London, where her grandparents still live, her death has never been mentioned in a British newspaper.
Rachel Corrie, on the other hand, an American radical who died in 2003 while acting as a human shield during an Israeli anti-terror operation in Gaza, has been widely featured in the British press. According to the Guardian website, she has been written about or referred to on 57 separate occasions in the Guardian alone, including three articles the Saturday before last.
Gross goes on to list five Israeli Rachels who have been murdered unreported by the Brit MSM. These range from a 17 year old blown up in a grocery store, through a woman killed with her husband, son and father while celebrating their passover meal, to a mother murdered at home with her 3 kids.
These women were killed deliberately while going about their everyday lives, whereas the woman in the play died by accident trying to stop a bulldozer from closing a suspected Palestinian arms-smuggling tunnel. She was affiliated with the ISM, an organization that supported two Brit suicide bombers who blew up a club in Tel Aviv.
The playwright argues in his defense that he quoted entirely from the radical’s diary, but so what? She was a propagandist supported by murderers, and to conceal that is a crime against truth..
The movie (hat tip LGF) was was made by a Dutch resident who claims to be an arab with an Israeli passport. It was financed by Dutch, French, and German backers and is dissected here.
Said decides not to board a bus which is filled with settlers because he suddenly experiences sympathy or pity for the toddler on board. In reality, Palestinian suicide killers have deliberately targeted Israeli civilians, not soldiers.
Palestinian killers have a penchant for murdering toddlers.
Said, in his video-ed “shahid” speech, claims that Israelis have rejected a two-state solution. This has been well documented as a falsehood.
One of Said’s handlers claims that this operation is the first they have tried in two years. Since Arafat unilaterally decided to break off negotiations and to launch the Intifada of 2000, the Palestinians have not stopped trying to kill Israeli civilians… The number of suicide killer missions that Israel daily and vigilantly intercepts is very high. Some days, 10-20 attempts have been made.
Said also accuses Israel of having carried out “ethnic cleansing.” This, too, is untrue. “Ethnic cleansing” is what the ethnic Arab Muslims are currently doing in Darfur in the Sudan to African Muslims, animists, and Christians; what the Hutus did to the Tutsi in Rwanda; what every single Arab Muslim country did to Jews particularly post 1948; and what the Nazis also did to Jews in the European Holocaust.
Indeed, perhaps the biggest lie in this film is something the film omits almost entirely: we do not get a clear sense of how filthy and continuous the hatred of Jews and Israel really is among Palestinians, how brainwashed the impoverished Palestinian population really is. And this hatred continues in the film: a taxi driver, for instance, accuses the Israelis of polluting the drinking water with anti-spermicides—not so different from what Mrs. Arafat said when she accused the Israelis of causing cancer and fertility problems among Palestinian women.
Another piece of terrorist propaganda aimed at desensitizing Western audiences.
It’s only 60 years since our soldiers found the survivors of the holocaust.
