Crocodile Fodder

Churchill said ” An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile – hoping it will eat him last” and by crocodiles he meant Germans. But now they’re doing the feeeding.

Germany (helped by Switzerland) was the chief enabler of the nuclear arming of Pakistan, Iran, North Korea and now maybe Syria. And they can’t seem to stop:

On Sunday, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner said with respect to Iran, “We have to prepare for the worst, and the worst, sir, is war.” He called for “more effective sanctions,” as a follow on to President Nicholas Sarkozy’s warning last month that the alternative is “an Iranian bomb or the bombing of Iran.”

The welcome change in French attitudes, moreover, is not being matched by Germany, which in some respects is literally trying to demonstrate a “business as usual” approach.

Germany exported about $5bn. in goods to Iran last year, representing a substantial growth in exports over the last six years.

This year, German exports have reportedly dropped 20 percent, presumably due to the Western sanctions campaign. But Germany is dragging its feet, both economically and diplomatically, with respect to tightening the pressure on Teheran.

As Reuters reported on Friday, “A split has emerged in the coalition of Western powers pressuring Iran to freeze its nuclear enrichment program, as France backs US calls for a new round of sanctions while Germany urges restraint.”

Germany, together with France and the UK (the EU-3) has been negotiating with the Mullahs since early 2003, and claimed success when:

On October 21, 2003, in Tehran, the Iranian government and EU-3 Foreign Ministers issued a statement in which Iran agreed to co-operate with the IAEA, to sign and implement an Additional Protocol as a voluntary, confidence-building measure, and to suspend its enrichment and reprocessing activities during the course of the negotiations.

Of course it didn’t happen, and it never will until the Mullahs have a satisfactory inventory of nukes and delivery systems.

The German government knows this, and still feeds the Iranian with advanced technology. They presumably calculate that the 2,200 Km range Shahab 3D is no threat.

But when the North Koreans (Iran’s new best friend) get the bugs out of the 4,000+ Km range Taepodong-2, Berlin is, er, screwed.

  1. Iran is a signatory of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, they have every right to purchase and enrich nuclear fuel from the Nuclear Supplier Group as per the NPT.

On 21st August 2007, IAEA has announced in: Understandings of The Islamic Republic of Iran and the IAEA
on the Modalities of Resolution of the Outstanding Issues Tehran –21 August 2007
, that Iran is complaint with the NPT.

There can be no reason for any sanctions on Iran.

America is hell-bent for invading Iran, before Iran switches to petro-euro. Iran nuclear programme is another excuse to do so. And the world will believe, just like the Iraq’s WMD story.

Before we condemn Iran to a life of sanctions, let us take a look at what America has condemned the Iraqis to.

I disagree – the Mullahs score 10 out of 10 on the “intended mass murderer” scale:

Motive: they’ve said they will wipe Israel off the map. The only way to do that is with nuclear weapons – about 15 50 kt weapons would do the trick.

Means: they only have to keep their centrifuge farm running longer to get bomb-grade rather than reactor=grade uranium. The IAEA is a broken arrow – it failed spot the 1990s Iraqi bomb program, and the North Korean bomb program.

Opportunity: They have deployed the Shahab-3 IRBM, it has a triconic warhead design and simple ABM avoidance. There’s no point firing a sophisticated brute like this with just a chemical warhead.

Regarding the Iraqis, they’re much better off. Saddam killed them at the rate of 1 million every 10 years – 100,000 a year. That included bulldozing kids alive into mass graves.

Now they’re much freer and – even with all the violence – much safer.

  3. The only country to have committed “mass murder” is America, Japan, 1945.
No one has since. If there is one evil regime on this planet, it is American.

You say the Iraqis are better off! Easy to say that from your safety and comforts.
The Americans are doing exactly where Saddam left off, if not worse.
the suffering Iraqis themselves are now saying they were better off under Saddam.

It was the Americans that started Iran on a nuclear programme.
I hope Americans invade Iran, for that will be their final graveyard.

Like I have said before, America WHEN is hit with a nuclear device, it will not be Iranian, it will be Pakistani. The monster of American making. I am also certain the majority of this world, whose country America has corrupted or destroyed, will exult.

I don’t think there is anymore to say to you after this.
We are living in different realities, we believe in different world order, in different values.

    Ah, an America hater.

There are about 200 million dead souls – Jews, Poles, Russians, Chinese and indeed Iraqis- that would vehemently disagree with your contention that America is the world’s mass murderer.

    They can’t speak.

But you, who live in a world made safe by American blood and treasure, can.
